This blog is a service of the
Platte County Health Department's Environmental Health Division. This group is responsible for monitoring compliance in Platte County food establishments, taverns, and school cafeterias. Also, food warehouses and food processors are monitored. The staff conducts inspections of these facilities as often as three times per year.
In addition to conducting routine surveillance, the staff responds to consumer complaints and emergencies where the food supply is compromised such as fires, truck accidents, and floods.
Environmental Health experts will provide tips and information about food health tips and food protection.
